Bang Poo, in Samut Prakarn province, Thailand is an area whereby one can find ponds, mudflats, mangroves and wasteland where locals go for sight seeing, morning walk, to release crabs for merit making and to feed the gulls .

Most people visit this place for the shorebirds called the Brown Headed Seagull. The months between October and May are the best for birdwatching and it is close to Bangkok where one can make a half day trip by taxi, or make a whole day of it by going to Muang Boran Fish Ponds in the morning and then move on to Bang Poo
