The Lesser Adjutant is a large bird in the stork family.
It is a huge bird, typically 110-120 cm tall and has a 210 cm wingspan. Its upper body and wings are black, but the belly and undertail are white. The head and neck are bare like those of a vulture.
When they fly, they retract their neck in flight like a heron.

The use to breed at at residential site instead of at the swamp areas. They were once found in Singapore but it is now totally confined to Malaysia Muar area.
